At Impact Injury Center, we specialize in sports injuries that are most commonly due to repetitive strain or trauma. Repetitive strain injuries are a predominant reason why most athletes become injured over time. The repetitive strain on a muscle, tendon, or ligament can cause micro-trauma and over time result in a more significant injury.
After the injury, scar tissue is laid down to repair the strained tissue and at times can create a new problem. Active Release Techniques®, Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Functional Range (F.R.) Release Technique, and Graston Technique® are all treatments utilized by the doctors at Impact Injury Center to reduce, break up, and eliminate the excess scar tissue that is limiting normal functional movement. By removing the scar tissue, there is more blood flow and oxygen to the healing tissues, increased flexibility of the soft tissues, and overall better performance of the injured area.
If you are an athlete with a nagging old injury, a new/acute, debilitating injury, or an injury that is limiting you as you try to return to physical activity, our sports-focused chiropractic physicians are well-equipped to accurately diagnose your condition and help you on your way to a stronger, healthier, speedier recovery. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to be your Lake Oswego Chiropractor!
